Dear Park Igls guests,

Health does not exist in isolation within single organs or laboratory values. It emerges from a finely balanced interplay of hormones, metabolism, sleep, micronutrients and lifestyle. This ParkZeit issue is dedicated to exactly these connections.

Among other topics, we explore why hormonal imbalances in both women and men often remain undetected for a long time – whether during menopause, in cases of gradual testosterone deficiency or in connection with an unfulfilled desire to have children. Hormonal processes are rarely obvious; they tend to be subtle, diffuse and require one thing above all: time and differentiated diagnostics.

We also take a closer look at the liver – a central metabolic organ that does far more than simply »detoxify.« When it falls out of balance, it affects the entire organism.

The topic of supplementation likewise calls for differentiation. Micronutrients can be of real therapeutic value, provided they are based on sound analysis and tailored to the individual. General recommendations fall short; what matters is not the quantity, but medical precision.

We also address the question of how much sleep is healthy: regeneration, hormonal balance and metabolic stability follow clearly defined biological rhythms. Chronic sleep deprivation has a direct impact on metabolism, liver function and hormonal regulation, with long-term consequences for performance and resilience.

I now invite you to view this issue of our ParkZeit as an impulse to take a closer look, ask questions, and understand health not as something fixed, but as a continuous process.

Yours sincerely,

Andrea Gnägi
