Spoilt for choice
Perched above Igls is the small chapel of Heiligwasser, a popular place of pilgrimage in centuries past. As well as the chapel itself it is also well worth a visit for the views it affords across the sunny plateau home to Igls as well as over to the Nordkette Mountains north of Innsbruck. The walk to get there is easy and leads from our hotel along the "Heiligwasserweg" trail past the bottom of the Patscherkofelbahn cable car up to the chapel.
