A healthy start to the New Year

At the Health Retreat Parkhotel Igls in Tyrol, guests can ring in a sparkling New Year with plenty of partying as well as consideration for their own wellbeing. The New Year’s detox break is based on Modern Mayr Medicine, dance workshops and fun! By Boxing Day, all that feasting and partying has left us feeling sapped and tense – so it’s perfectly understandable to be inclined to a touch of detoxification after Christmas has come and gone.

As with any stay at the Health Retreat Parkhotel Igls, the New Year’s Eve special programme starts with an initial medical examination conducted by a qualified Mayr Physician. A health check is conducted with the help of the latest diagnostic procedures, and the results, together with the patient’s medical history, are used to put together personalised nutritional and exercise programmes.

New Year's Eve detox offer

On New Year’s Eve, guests delight in a celebratory Modern Mayr Medicine buffet that is as wholesome as it is scrumptious. The Tafelspitz trio provides musical entertainment, while 11-times World Tap Dance Champion Daniel Borak makes the dance floor resound with his rhythms. Then it’s onward and upward to the torch-lit walk, followed by an exceptional fireworks display overlooking the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck as we welcome 2017.

The Parkhotel Igls is one of the leading health retreats in Europe. The ‘house in the park’ offers personalised exercise, nutrition and regeneration concepts and state-of-the-art diagnostics based on Modern Mayr Medicine. Guests are able to choose between various therapeutic modules, some of which are unique to the Parkhotel Igls. In addition to a medical department and modern destination spa, guests enjoy spacious relaxation rooms, fitness studios and a well-equipped gym. The alkaline Modern Mayr cuisine encompasses eight dietary stages, from fasting to the Mayr Energy diet.
