Tatler Spa Guide 2019

Park Igls one the world’s best spas!

Mental and emotional balance, good health, slenderness, detox and fitness are today’s prime parameters – with equilibrium, fitness and stress relief being high up on most people’s wish lists. All of these were at the heart of the prestigious UK Tatler Spa Guide 2019 presentation in London on 30 April. And all reflect the Park Igls Mayr clinic’s Modern Mayr Medicine philosophy.

The hard facts of the booming wellness industry were set out during the 12th Tatler Spa Guide presentation, highlighting the current trends that show how important solid concepts and superb medical competence are in the field of spas and health resorts. Following a rigorous process of testing and rating, only a hand-picked selection of the best spas, retreats and health programmes made it into the UK Tatler Spa Guide 2019. The health sector is tasked with meeting society’s growing demands which, as Tatler stresses, now increasingly focus on our mental health. The Park Igls Mayr clinic’s ninth listing among the world’s best spas in the 12th Tatler Spa Guide shows that it more than meets these requirements with its cutting-edge approach to mental and physical health and its unparalleled medical know-how.

The just published Tatler Spa Guide 2019 highlights the clinic’s Modern Mayr cuisine which is both delicious and detoxifying, the approachable and supportive staff, and our exercise and therapy programme – a boon for anyone who suffers from detox discomfort!

In the Guide’s own words, our ‘new therapies include the TheMedGolf® Institute, which combines medical and physiotherapeutic relief for golfers plagued by back pain; and the sleep laboratory: an antidote for insomniacs, where a sleep specialist visits you in your room to ensure restful slumber.’

This ninth listing in the UK Tatler Spa Guide is high validation for Managing Director Andrea Gnägi and Medical Director Dr Peter Gartner of the Park Igls Mayr clinic. They travelled to London to celebrate their accolade in person.

‘Being among Tatler’s best spas in the world, and this for an amazing ninth time – it’s just the most brilliant recognition of our whole team’s expertise and hard work! And so motivating! Our top priority is meeting the needs of our guests and society with the highest level of expertise – and it’s the right way forward,’ says Andrea Gnägi. ‘Our diagnostics and therapies are always at the vanguard – be they medical, physiotherapeutic, psychotherapeutic, diet or exercise-based. And this is exactly how we will continue in future,’ emphasises Dr Peter Gartner.

The Tatler Spa Guide 2019 lists 79 hand-picked retreats worldwide; Park Igls is one of only two award-winning health resorts and four listed spas in the whole of Austria. The presentation of the UK Tatler Spa Guide 2019 took place at the renowned hub of luxury, the Hotel Café Royal on elegant Regent Street in London’s West End.
